Hi everyone, it's been a while! It's been a hell of a year; I've moved to a different suburb, my partner has a new job, I've taken up a new role at work and we got a puppy this January!
Health-wise not so great unfortunately. A year on and I'm no closer to understanding the issues with my stomach. I went through several months of tests and experiments last year and after finding nothing I lost motivation and gave up on it. Fast forward the better part of a year and I'm at it again. Trying to find an answer. My medical report currently totals about 15 pages of tests and results and I'm waiting to see a new gastrointestinal specialist so hopefully we'll have some luck there!
I've been down to Gemina a few times in the last year but I've been unable to return to my full training schedule. I've also had some irregular sessions in my garage with friends on and off with mixed success regarding my stomach. At this stage I'm pretty much over this affecting me and I'm trying to find ways to get down to the gym regardless. Perhaps I'll go in regularly and only train once every few weeks? Maybe I can just micro-drill and work techniques that include no pressure on my stomach? Either way, I'm looking to dive back in somehow and get back to my regular schedule of at least GOING to the gym. That's easier said than done, but I'm going to give it my best.
When we got our puppy (Artemis) I bought a gimbal, which I've used down at Gemina a few times. I've been learning how to make videos and you can see the results of my first attempt HERE. I've also added another slideshow to the Gallery from a recent Free Rollers event at the Rockingham Foreshore.
At this stage I won't commit to returning to regular posting here as of yet. But I thought it worth dropping in to give anyone who was interested an update. I'm still receiving messages every so often from people with bad backs who want to train and they honestly always blow my mind. It never ceases to amaze me that people would find inspiration in the things that I do, or trust my enough to ask me about it. Thank you to everyone who has ever done so.
As always, stay safe friends. Until next time!
